September 15, 2016 concert hall

On Tuesday morning, September 13, 2016, Fox 9 KMSP featured Minnesota Masonic Heritage Center and its Concert Hall in a live interview. In a quick four-minute segment on The Buzz, anchor Kelly O’Connell interviewed Heritage Center Director Keir Johnson, Kenwood Symphony Orchestra Music Director Yuri Ivan and SONOMENTO‘s Music Director Craig Fields. The men talked about this month’s concert. They also marveled at the great space in which they will be performing.

During the interview, the station showed video footage and still shots of the Minnesota Masonic Heritage Center from both the outside and inside. The station also broadcast shots of the new concert hall, Ives Auditorium. The Auditorium is where our Inaugural All-Beethoven Concert will take place mid-afternoon on September 25, 2016.

Concert Hall Made for Performance

As Craig commented, we sincerely hope that many Twin Cities residents and music lovers will attend our grand opening event. There’s no doubt that all who come will be able to enjoy familiar music from a great composer in a space especially designed to showcase such performances. The audience will also have the privilege of watching and listening to emcee John Birge, an early morning host at MPR Classical. We are extremely excited to be collaborating with Kenwood Symphony Orchestra and MacPhail Music Center‘s talented SONOMENTO choral group.

Ives Auditorium’s 443 seats, all with a clear view of the stage, are just waiting to be filled.
